Boo!

The Halloween season really snuck up on me this year. With spending the first two weeks of October out of town it made for a crazy month. I managed to get some decorations up though and put together the kids costumes. Emily chose to be the tooth fairy and as I was in the process of coming up with what Jacob could dress up as we happened upon a rocket costume at Target. Jacob then spent the remainder of our shopping running around target yelling "pkshhhhhhh" over and over. There were multiple people in the story that helped convince us we had to buy the costume.

On the 28th they had the Halloween parade and parties at school. Below are pictures of Emily parading around the school, posing with her class and teachers, and also with her good friends Quinn, Grace & Mollie.

Miss Mary taught the kids a dance to perform for their parents - the video is at the bottom.

The Rocket

We visited Jeff at work on Halloween - mostly to see all of therapy dressed up as Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs. Of course out of all the dwarfs and all the therapists, Jeff was assigned Dopey - he was grateful he didn't have to wear an itchy beard though. (Starting in the back row, left to right: Apple, Woodsman, Mirror, Snow White, Queen, Hag. Front row: Doc, Sneezy, Dopey, Happy, Bashful, Grumpy & Sleepy on the very front)

Of course Jacob spent weeks wearing his rocket around the house and on Halloween he wanted nothing to do with it. We were able to get him to wear it for trick or treating by telling he'd only get candy if he had a costume on. On a couple occasions though if he got something that looked particularly yummy he'd ditch his bucket of candy and his costume and just try to dig in to the treat. We especially missed Dave & Arline this year - Jeff took the kids around trick or treating and I stayed home to hand out at our house. This was the first time we haven't gone together. I was a bit sad to not see the kids go house to house but I was happy to enjoy the warmth indoors.

9.10.13 ~ Em: "Are we going to Red Robin?" Jeff: "Why would we want to go there?" Em: "Oh! I know that voice!" Then as Jeff turned into RR parking lot Em said, "Ha! I knew it!"

9.29.13 ~ Em: "Oh Yummy!" Jeff: "I thought you didn't like potato chips." Em: "Apparently I do now."
