End of June

We pulled out my mom's slide for the first time this summer on the 28th. Stacy met us at my parents with her kids and they all had a blast together. It was the perfect thing for the 90 degree weather. I almost wished I could go myself.

Lagoon

Tuesday the 26th was Jeff's work Lagoon day. After much deliberation, I finally decided that I didn't want to miss Jacob's excitement this year and decided to attend with Eliza. Other than when I was in the car feeding her, Eliza was really good and just slept in her seat. The kids had a blast and loved it all even though it was pretty hot.

Six!

It's been a pretty low key summer this year. With having a new baby the only thing I signed Emily up for was swimming lessons. I decided to do them at a neighbors house again this year since it was so conveinent and Emily could go by herself. I've been able to attend a few times and so has Gma Newman. But on Emily's birthday Daddy was able to go for the first time. Emily is learning a lot and doing a great job.
After swimming we gathered everything up (and with having a newborn, it was a lot) and headed to the Children's Museum. Jacob spent the majority of the time riding, driving, climbing, and pushing every car he could find, while Emily shopped in the store.

It was Eliza's first time out (other than Gma's house) and she did well. Other than a few minutes after eating she slept in her seat the whole time.
After the kids were done at the museum and we were all starving, we met my parents at Tucanos for a late lunch. The kids love it when we go and are always excited - Jacob for the pao de queijo and Emily for the chicken hearts (I think she had a couple dozen this time around).  I guess she better get her fill of them right now however because I don't think we'll be going there very often once we actually have to start paying for the kids.
Once we got home Emily opened her presents and then played Tangled on the Wii till it was time for bed. It was a fun, but long day and I think we were all exhausted after (but especially Emily's sleep deprived parents).

Visits

Stan & Mel and their kids came into town on the 23rd. We took the opportunity to meet up with Mike & Niki at Jeff's grandparents house for the night. Emily & Jacob loved playing with Heidi & Ryan and it was fun to show Eliza off to the family members that hadn't seen her yet.

Week 2

My aunt brought my grandparents over on the 15th for a short visit and so they could see Eliza. I'm grateful she was so sweet to do it since I don't know when I would have made it over to their house. (I haven't ventured more than 5 min away on my own yet). My parents also came over to visit. Emily & Jacob loved having extra adults around to shower them with attention.

Emily & Jacob both adore their little sister and are often fighting over who gets to hold or and help me give her a bottle.

Happy Father's Day!!! The was low key for us (again... sorry you got gypped with all "your" holidays this year Jeff!) We laid low at home trying to get as much sleep as possible and then had dinner at my parents.

Jacob is really into Gpa right now and was thrilled when he was over at bedtime the other night and could read him a story.

Eliza's Two Week Stats:
9 lbs 5 oz
21 1/2"
(and no, there's no way she grew 2" in 2 weeks. The must have mis-measured at the hospital)

Week One

(Jeff's birthday was very low key this year. He got a candle in his parfait at breakfast and that's about all I could do. Thankfully my mom prepared one of his favorite dinners that night and made a cake for him as well. Thanks mom!)
