Pioneer Day

Unfortunately Jeff had to work on the 24th so it started out just as any other day. After Dad came home though we headed over to Dave & Arline's for a yummy BBQ and some fireworks. After we'd completely stuffed ourselves Emily's wonderful grandparents entertained her with swinging and jumping on the tramp so Jeff and I could play a game of Bocce with Niki & Andrew.

The rest of the night was filled with throwing pops - Emily actually got pretty good at it - and watching fireworks. Emily was grateful for Andrew's earplugs and she enjoyed herself on mom's lap, the blanket with Niki & Andrew, and of course her favorite spot - "papa's truck". It was a fun night. Thanks Dave & Arline for the wonderful food and fireworks!

1.27.14 ~ After 'reading' something: Bec: "Hey! How did you know that's what that said?" J:"I don't know. Cause I'm super smart."

2.02.14 ~ While playing with Little People: ~ J: "Mom, where's the mom & baby?" Bec: "I don't know." J: "Maybe they're missing. Maybe when we were at Grandma & Grandpa's a monster came to our house & took them."
